Tips Using Nam‘s Remote

 

This page should give you useful tips to maximize the fun you will have with Nam's Remote.

 Tips:  

  1.  For Maximum Comfort, put Nam's Remote Server Application to your Autostart Items. Therefore, you dont have to start the Nam's remote Server Application everytime you want to use Nam's Remote.

    1. On a Mac, open System Preferences -> Accounts -> LogIn-Items and add Nam's Remote Server Application

    2. On Windows, just drag Nam's Remote Server Application to your Autostart Folder

  2. On a Mac, launching an already opened Application with the AppLauncher, this Application comes to the Foreground. With this way you can use different Remotes although the Application is not in the Foreground.

  3. Many MediaPlayers have a Shake Feature. Shaking your Device will Play/Pause your current Movie or Song.

Front Row

Swipe Up and Down to navigate Up and Down

Tap to select, Double-Tap to Go Back

When playing a Movie or Song:

Swipe Up and Down to adjust volume

Use left and Right buttons to rewind and go forward


VLC

 Buttons for basic control.

Adjust Volume by swiping on the Volume Arrow 

Shake for Play/Pause 

 

Finder

Use Arrow Buttons to navigate

  Can switch between CoverFlow and Icon View for best navigation experience 

 Use Quicklook for viewing your Documets, Photos, Movies


Controller

iPhoto

This Remote has 2 Tabs.

1st Tab is for the Grid View, allowing you simple editing.

2nd Tab is for slideshows, navigating and rating your photos.


Keynote

Use Swipe Gestures or the buttons to go next or previous.

Shake your Device to go next. 


Steering Wheel

You can turn the steering Wheel On and Off.

You can also turn off just the vertical or horizontal axis. Then you have to navigate with the arrow buttons on the screen.
